Since its founding, the Folk Orchestra has preserved the authentic traditional folk sound through both independent and joint performances, primarily with the Folk Dance Ensemble and the Vocal Group of the Society, but also as a musical and tonal accompaniment to the dance ensembles. The artistic director of the Folk Orchestra is soloist and distinguished artist of Radio Television Belgrade – Slavko Mitrović Ćale.
Female Vocal Group of the Cultural and Artistic Society “Gradimir”
The Cultural and Artistic Society “Gradimir” has been recognised for many years for its exceptional vocal performances, and as a result, the Mixed Vocal Group was founded. The group, together with the vocal soloists, has remained an inseparable part of the Society since the early 1960s. The artistic director of the Vocal Group is Slavko Mitrović Ćale.
Children’s and Preparatory Performance Ensembles
The Children’s Ensemble is one of the largest sections of “Gradimir”, consisting of over one hundred members divided into three age groups. The youngest group focuses on the simplest elements of dance and mastering space through movement. The middle and older groups, in addition to the elements practised by the youngest group, also work on elements from existing choreographies.
Veterans’ Ensemble of the Cultural and Artistic Society “Gradimir”
The Veterans’ Ensemble originated in “Gradimir” in the 1960s. Composed of former members, i has actively been performing as one of Gradimir’s core sections. Although mature in age, the veterans continue presenting their repertoire and, most importantly, they have maintained the distinctive performing style of “Gradimir”.
