Gradimir at the 14th Festival of Dance and Music “Zov Ravnice” in Novi Sad

Cultural and Artistic Society “Gradimir” participated in the 14th Festival of Dance and Music “Zov Ravnice” (Call of the Plain), held between October 10 and 13, 2024, in front of the Promenada Shopping Centre in Novi Sad.

The audience was charmed by our First Ensemble’s performance of dances from Šumadija and Pirot regions. They truly showcased the beauty and richness of Serbian folk dances. Our folk orchestra, led by Slavko Mitrović Cale, contributed to the performance with its impressive musical interpretation of Šumadija Kolo.

Performing the song “Sude mi e vedro nebo”, our female vocal group stood out, delivering a heartfelt performance and adding a layer of authenticity and beauty to the traditional Serbian music.

We are thankful to the organisers, the “Veliko Kolo” Association, for the invitation and the opportunity to be part of this important event that celebrates and preserves folk culture and tradition. We look forward to future meetings and performances!

Gradimir at the Fifth International Festival of Folk Ensembles for Veterans and Recreational Dancers “Kude je taj Niš” (Where is that Niš)

On October 19, 2024, Cultural and Artistic Society “Gradimir” had the honour of participating in the Fifth International Festival of Folk Ensembles for Veterans and Recreational Dancers “Kude je taj Niš” (Where is that Niš).

This prestigious festival gathered numerous folk ensembles which presented traditional dance and songs from different regions of Serbia and the world.

Our veterans’ ensemble performed a cheerful and energetic choreography “Male Vlaske” (“Little Vlach Dances”), which left a lasting impression on the audience. Our ensemble is very familiar with the fast-paced repertoire, as dance and singing are their passion and love. Everyone present enjoyed their choreography.

The festival was organised by Folk Dances Society “Teodora” from Niš. They were thrilled to host participants from different parts of the country. This festival is yet another example of commitment to preserving our cultural heritage, as well as an opportunity to socialize and exchange experience with other dancers.

Gradimir expresses gratitude to the organisers and all participants for the wonderful atmosphere and a friendly welcome.

Children’s Ensembles Guests in Ripanj

On October 17, 2024, the Children’s Ensembles of Cultural and Artistic Society “Gradimir” had the honour of participating in a cultural event organised by Cultural and Artistic Society “Milan Đ. Milićević”.

This event, organised as a part of the traditional manifestation dedicated to preserving traditional dance and songs, was an amazing opportunity for exchanging experience and the nurturing of cultural heritage.

During the event, Gradimir’s members performed the traditional folk dances and songs from Central Serbia and Đerdap Danube area, introducing the audience to them. They had the opportunity to gain insight into Ripanj’s cultural heritage. This visit to Ripanj was an excellent opportunity to strengthen the cooperation between Cultural and Artistic Societies “Gradimir” and “Milan Đ. Milićević”, continuing the long-standing tradition of mutual assistance.

Evets like these are a major part of preserving the national tradition and promoting culture. Cultural and Artistic Society “Gradimir” is thankful to Cultural and Artistic Society “Milan Đ. Milićević” for the invitation. We look forward to actively participating in similar activities aiming to preserve cultural heritage for future generations.

Одржана манифестација ”Врачарски котлић“ на Платоу код КУД Градимир

06.10.2024. године на платоу код КУД Градимира одржана је манифестација ”Врачарски котлић”, у организацији Municipality of Vračar, заједно са Центром за културу и образовање Божидарац и КУД Градимир. Манифестација је привукла више од 1500 посетилаца током целог дана и обележена је богатим програмом намењеним свим генерацијама.

Манифестацију је свечано отворио члан Већа ГО Врачар Марко Иветић који се, заједно са председником КУД Градимир – Жарком Бајчетићем, обратио присутнима и представио план ове манифестације. Посетиоци су имали прилику да учествују у разним креативним радионицама, међу којима су биле: радионице српског веза и рукотворина, технике иконописа, читање бајки и бојанка са мотивима српске народне ношње из свих крајева Србије.

Поред тога, манифестацију су обогатили пријатељи из спортског центра Be Wеll са спортским полигоном, као и Агенција за безбедност саобраћаја са занимљивим симулацијама превртања аутомобила и чеоног судара. Најмлађи су посебно уживали у едукативној представи „Пажљивко“, која је кроз игру и песму подучавала основама безбедности у саобраћају.

Што се тиче самог такмичења у кувању котлића, учествовало је седам екипа. Иако ове године није било награда, председник жирија, познати кувар Филип Ћирић, прогласио је победнике на крају манифестације и свим учесницима се захвалило на учешћу, уз позив да се придруже и следеће године у новом надметању.

Културно-уметнички програм затворен је сјајним наступима ансамбала КУД Градимир. Публику су одушевили дечији ансамбли, омладински ансамбл и први играчки ансамбл, који су својом енергијом и посвећеношћу још једном показали богатство српске културне традиције.

Манифестацију је свечано затворио председник Municipality of Vračar, Академик проф. др Милан А. Недељковић, који се захвалио свим грађанима на великом одзиву, честитао учесницима и организаторима на успешној реализацији догађаја и изразио наду да ће у будућности „Врачарски котлић“ постати један од препознатљивих симбола Врачара.

As every year, this time the Municipality of Vračar, aided by Cultural Institution Božidarac, Cultural and Artistic Society Gradimir, the Traffic Safety Agency of Serbia and Gradimir Restaurant, is organising the “Vračarski Kotlić” Festival. We are to enjoy the variety of homemade specialties prepared in numerous ways by, might we dare say, many professional cooking teams. 🙂

During the event, there will be a competition in making the best “pot” dish, awards, various workshops, play areas, and sports activities for children. In addition, CAS Gradimir is to perform a short artistic repertoire showing the talent of our folk ensembles.

The International Day of Seniors was celebrated at the Municipality of Vračar on October 1, 2024.Gradimir’s Veteran Ensemble participated in the programme through a performance. The aim of the event was to highlight the great importance and contributions of senior citizens in our society.

A large number of residents attended the gathering, where they could receive free blood pressure checks, and be informed about the importance of regular health monitoring, which drew considerable interest from those present. The Traffic Safety Agency organised an interactive quiz which sparked our seniors’ competitive spirit. They demonstrated impressive knowledge about road safety.

Gradimir’s members performed traditional dances and songs, showcasing the richness and beauty of our cultural heritage.
