Културно-уметничка друштва „Градимир“ и „Бранко Цветковић“ свечано су обележила 80 година постојања, приредивши незабораван концерт у МТС Дворани.

Препуна сала уживала је у раскоши српског фолклора, док су се на сцени смењивале кореографије које су представиле лепоту и разноликост наше традиције. Ансамбли оба друштва извели су најлепше игре из Србије и региона, уз пратњу изванредног народног оркестра и певачких група.

Поред богатог сценског програма, ово је била прилика да се подсетимо дуге и успешне историје оба друштва, као и генерација играча и музичара који су својом посвећеношћу допринели очувању културног наслеђа.

Хвала свим учесницима, публици и пријатељима друштава који су били део ове велике прославе! Настављамо са игром, песмом и музиком чувамо традицију и радимо на томе да нам будуће године буду још успешније!

Чланови Културно-уметничког друштва „Градимир“ имали су част да представе српску традицију и културу током званичне посете Ираку, где су у сарадњи са МБ Универзитетом у Београду, а на позив Амбасаде Србије у Багдаду учествовали у прослави Дана државности Србије.

Током боравка, делегација КУД-а „Градимир“ била је гост шеика Салема, великог пријатеља Србије, који их је срдачно примио и угостио. Поред свечаног пријема, имали су прилику да обиђу древни град Вавилон, један од најзначајнијих археолошких локалитета на свету.

Круна посете шеику је био наступ у граду Хамураби, који је у власништву шеика Салема. Наши играчи су тамо извели две кореографије, док су наши Slavko Mitrović Ćale and Nikola Arsić маестралним музицирањем на хармоникама одушевили све присутне.

Све свечаности поводом Дана државности отворене су извођењем српске химне Боже правде, коју су чланови нашег ансамбла отпевали уз пратњу Славка Митровића Цалета на хармоници. Уследио је микс игара из Србије, након чега су Цале и Никола, такође на хармоници, извели неколико традиционалних композиција. Публика је уживала и у акапелном извођењу мушке и женске изворне песме, као и у песми Ово је Србија, уз пратњу. Програм је завршен спектакуларном кореографијом Влашке игре, у поставци Десанке Десе Ђорђевић.

Поносни на прилику да у сарадњи са МБ Универзитетом у Београду представимо српску традицију на овако важном међународном догађају.

Ово путовање је било јединствена прилика да се продубе културне везе између Србије и Ирака, а КУД „Градимир“ се са поносом вратио кући, носећи незаборавне успомене и нова пријатељства.

In the evening hours of January 30, 2025, the Cultural and Artistic Society “Gradimir” was a guest at a concert held by the Cultural and Artistic Society “Branko Cvetkovic”. Veterans’ Ensemble performed an inspiring choreography titled “Male Vlaske”, which enriched the unique blend of traditional folk dances and modern interpretations.

The performance was met with a great response from the audience, who embraced this cultural spectacle with enthusiasm. This event further proves the commitment to the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage, as well as strengthening of cultural connections among different artistic ensembles.

At one of the most prominent cultural events in Zagreb, renowned musician Slavko Mitrović, known as “Čika Cale”, performed alongside the Belgrade Youth Folk Orchestra and the female vocal group “Etnofonija” from the Cultural and Artistic Society “Gradimir”, as part of the cultural programme at the Academy.

The performance was a unique blend of traditional folk music and modern interpretations. It inspired the audience with its authenticity and dynamic delivery. Guests from the academic community, as well as representatives of the artistic scene, enjoyed the rich repertoire which brought the centuries-old cultural heritage to life.

The organisers emphasised that this event served to promote traditional music amongst youth as well as an incentive to preserve national identity. The female vocal group “Etnofonija”, led by Slavko Mitrović Cale, proved that tradition and innovation are perfectly harmonised, leaving a lasting impression on everyone with the opportunity to experience this event.

On December 12, 2024, Cultural and Artistic Society “Gradimir” successfully organised a spectacular concert at the Children's Cultural Centre. All of our ensembles, the folk orchestra and the vocal group took part in the performance.

Serbian traditional melodies, songs, and dances, performed with energy and great dedication enriched the evening’s repertoire. The event attracted an audience spanning all generations, contributing to the preservation of our cultural heritage and our national tradition.

“Gradimir” ’s proving its commitment to preserving and promoting Serbian culture, motivating younger generations to cherish their roots and tradition. Organisers have announced plans for a plethora of cultural events and numerous unforgettable performances in the near future.

On December 7, 2024, the children from our cultural and artistic society successfully performed at the 10th International Children’s Folklore Festival “Ethnofest” in Čačak. This prestigious event gathered numerous young dancers from Serbia and abroad, providing them with an opportunity to exchange experience and present traditional songs and dances from their region.

Our ensemble impressed the audience with a vibrant choreography and authentic costumes, showing how important it is to nurture tradition. In addition to the stage performances, children met their peers from other countries, made new friendships and gathered lovely memories.

We are thankful to the organisers for the warm welcome and the invitation to be a part of the lovely day dedicated to preserving cultural heritage. We look forward to future performances, and continue to promote Serbian folklore wherever we go.

On November 26, 2024, Cultural and Artistic Society “Gradimir” from Belgrade successfully showcased its tradition on an international stage as a guest of the “Abrašević” from Wettingen, Switzerland.

Around 50 of Gradimir’s members arrived in Zurich, where they were warmly welcomed from the Serbian Consulate General, led by Mihajlo Šaulić. The group toured the city and enjoyed an exciting boat ride on Lake Zurich, immersing themselves in the beauty of the city. After that, they had a joint rehearsal with other dancers, preparing for the upcoming folk dance competition.

A shared meal at Slavi Tomić’s restaurant brought the participants together, serving as a place to make new contacts. Nenad Milenković, the president of “Abrašević” , and the chairman at “The Association of Serbian Folklore of Switzerland”said:

“This event is proving that culture knows no borders - our mutual cooperation will remain a permanent connection between tradition and the talent of youth”.

With this trip, “Gradimir” once again affirms its commitment to preserving cultural heritage and fostering international exchange, inspiring future generations to nurture their tradition.

A concert titled “Cale Mitrović and the Belgrade Youth Folk Orchestra” was held at the “Vlada Divljan” Cultural Centre. This musical event brought together lovers of traditional folk music, offering them the opportunity to enjoy performances of some of the most beautiful compositions from Serbia’s rich folk heritage.

Throughout the evening, pieces such as “Pavlova Igra” and “Merakli Čoček” were performed, captivating the audience. The musicians, through their mastery and emotion, once again demonstrated why the Belgrade Youth Folk Orchestra is one of the most important ensembles preserving folk music in Serbia.

The concert was another affirmation of the importance of preserving and promoting traditional music. The Belgrade Youth Folk Orchestra continues its mission to present the rich cultural heritage to new generations.

Cultural and Artistic Society “Gradimir” participated in the 14th Festival of Dance and Music “Zov Ravnice” (Call of the Plain), held between October 10 and 13, 2024, in front of the Promenada Shopping Centre in Novi Sad.

The audience was charmed by our First Ensemble’s performance of dances from Šumadija and Pirot regions. They truly showcased the beauty and richness of Serbian folk dances. Our folk orchestra, led by Slavko Mitrović Cale, contributed to the performance with its impressive musical interpretation of Šumadija Kolo.

Performing the song “Sude mi e vedro nebo”, our female vocal group stood out, delivering a heartfelt performance and adding a layer of authenticity and beauty to the traditional Serbian music.

We are thankful to the organisers, the “Veliko Kolo” Association, for the invitation and the opportunity to be part of this important event that celebrates and preserves folk culture and tradition. We look forward to future meetings and performances!

On October 19, 2024, Cultural and Artistic Society “Gradimir” had the honour of participating in the Fifth International Festival of Folk Ensembles for Veterans and Recreational Dancers “Kude je taj Niš” (Where is that Niš).

This prestigious festival gathered numerous folk ensembles which presented traditional dance and songs from different regions of Serbia and the world.

Our veterans’ ensemble performed a cheerful and energetic choreography “Male Vlaske” (“Little Vlach Dances”), which left a lasting impression on the audience. Our ensemble is very familiar with the fast-paced repertoire, as dance and singing are their passion and love. Everyone present enjoyed their choreography.

The festival was organised by Folk Dances Society “Teodora” from Niš. They were thrilled to host participants from different parts of the country. This festival is yet another example of commitment to preserving our cultural heritage, as well as an opportunity to socialize and exchange experience with other dancers.
